Skincare Routine | Night Time

Hello Lovelies. Welcome back to Beautiful You.

It has to be said that I am not the best when it comes to sticking to skin care routines however recently I have been having more break outs than usual, some people wouldn't even notice it but because its unusual for me it stands out. Therefore I wanted to do something about it and with going to university in a few days I wanted to get it sorted. So I popped out to boots to see what would be affordable to incorporate into my routine so that I would be able to keep this up while I am at university without shedding out loads of money.

The products that I use
So to start off with, I remove my make up with the famous Bioderma, this product for me is amazing because more often than not when I am using a make up remover for my eyes it stings a lot as I mine are very sensitive. However since I picked up a bottle of this when I was on holiday in France last year it has changed my life, not only does it remove every last bit of my make up but it is so soft on my eyes and doesn't hurt them at all. As for buying this product in the UK, it is available but the cost is considerable more than that of what you would pay abroad for example when I was in France we bought two bottles for the price of one here. However you can get it here http://www.escentual.com/bioderma/bioderma013/ for £14.50 (plus P&P) which isn't too bad, it is definitely a worth while investment and one bottle goes a long way!

Next I move on to cleansing my face, this has been a new product that I have been trying out, I have used it for the past four days and my skin feels a lot softer and visibly clearer, well to me anyway! It is the Botanics Softening Cleanser which is 82% organic. It says that it 'sweeps away make-up, oil and impurities without drying, leaving the skin smooth and supple' I totally agree with what it says on the bottle, if there is any make-up left on my face that it it removed and my skin definitely feels less oily after use. In addition the price tag makes it even better at £4.99 for 250ml, however it is currently on offer in Boots for £3.33 so go grab it now! http://www.boots.com/en/Botanics-82-Organic-Softening-Cleanser-250ml_1262005/

After I have cleansed my face I move on to toning and for this I use, again from Botanics, their Rosewater Toning Spritz which is 100% organic. With this product all you do it spray the water generously over your face and then gently remove with a cotton pad and it leaves your skin feeling smoother and fresher. It gives your skin that extra boost of freshness that you may not get with just the cleanser because there is still the residue from the cleanser left on your skin after using it, particularly the one I use. Again it has a very reasonable price tag of £4.99 for 150ml and is also on offer in Boots currently at £3.33, http://www.boots.com/en/Botanics-100-Organic-Rosewater-Toning-Spritz-150ml_1262007/

After doing all of this I then move on to moisturising my skin, for this I again use something from the Botanics range which is their Replenishing Night Cream, Radiant Youth. Which at the time when I went into Boots was the only night cream on the shelf and because I wanted to try one I got it. It meant to be for 'mature skin' because it claims to reduce the appearance of wrinkles in 4 weeks, however when you wake up in the morning after using this your skins has a definite glow or dewiness too it which for me is a plus! And the smell of this cream is amazing, which again is a bonus. However once this has ran out or I have enough points on my Boots card I may well go and try another one, for example the All Bright Hydrating Night Cream. Another negative to the product is that it retails for £7.99 for 50ml which isn't worth it for me due to the fact that I don't currently have enough or any wrinkles to have a need for this product! http://www.boots.com/en/Botanics-Radiant-Youth-Replenishing-Night-Cream-50ml_1261997/

After moisturising my face I use my eye cream, the one I am currently using is Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream which has 99% natural origin. This I think my sister got in a Glossy Box a while ago and didn't like so she gave it to me. I hadn't tried it out until now because I was just too lazy but it claims to be 'soothing, brightening and lifting' and if I'm being honest with you, the only different that I noticed is the brightening, the dark circles under my eyes does seem as dark to me, I don't know if this is entirely down to this product or to the fact that I have taken more time to look after my skin but there certainly has been a difference. This however is a pricey product, retailing at £20 for 15ml and £14 for 10ml but it is definitely worth the money for the results. https://www.balanceme.co.uk/face/product-family/extra-care/extra-care-wonder-eye-cream/

This concludes my night time skin care routine, it has taken me a while to get into this routine but now that I can see and feel the difference it will definitely help me stick to it! Thank you for reading this post and let me know if there is anything that you would like to see on here and I will try my best to get it up!
