Hello Lovelies. Welcome back to Beautiful You!
Today's guest post is written by one of my flat mates Emily, I shall link her twitter here if you would like to follow her! And with that I shall leave it to Emily...
Nail varnish had been a slight obsession of mine for a while
now. Currently I think the my collection stands at 80-something! Whoops! It is a great way to tie-in colours in outfits or to add a
touch of glamour, another way to accessorise if you may. The range of colours, textures, designs
available are unbelievable and allow for almost anything you want to be
created.
At the moment I’ve gone for a twist on the classic that is a
French nail design, it’s a fun and bright, a nice way to bring a bit of spring
to your life. I’m a sucker for Barry M, so I used Pink Flamingo as my base.
Barry M are brilliant, they only usually need 2 coats maximum to get a good
coverage and colour. I then used Natural Collection white tip, I know it’s
cheap, but it does the job! It can, however, be a little temperamental coverage
wise. I kept along the cheap line for the glitter finishing touch. For this I
used Claire’s Accessories Sugar Drop, avoiding the larger glitter. This was
given to me by one of my best friends for a secret Santa at Christmas, which
had a £5 limit, hence the cheapness. I would never have gone to Claire’s for
nail varnish before, but it’s actually quite good and fun! Add a Rimmel Top
Coat, et viola finished!
You can alter this look to match outfits or moods by simply
changing the base coat colour. You can also either add another glitter colour
of just leave it off all together, depending on how jazzy you’re feeling!
I hope you enjoyed this blog post and that it gave you some inspiration to try something new! Stay tuned for the rest of the week with more guest posts coming every single day until Monday the 3rd of March!
