Teen Blog Series Week 2 | Best Foundation and Brow Routine for Teens!

Hello Lovelies. Welcome back to Beautiful You!

Today's post is the second installement of the Teen Blog Series and this week we are talking about foundation and brows! You have countless different options whether you want a light coverage or to cover everything to bold brows or just something subtle, so will get straight into it!

For those of you that don't know, Teen Bloggers Anouska and Beth decided to start a project called #TeenBlogSeries. Its aim is to bring together lots of the teens/young adults in the blogging community. For the next ten consecutive weeks, over 80 bloggers will be writing every Monday at 6:30pm about many different things, all beauty, lifestyle or fashion related. You can view everyones posts by going to the hashtag on twitter "TeenBlogSeries". If you would like to supply products for the giveaway, get involved, or have any questions, please email: anouskateenblogger@googlemail.com

Being a teenager can be hard as you are going through stages in your life that throw obstacles in your way, in the form of spots and a lot of teenagers want to cover these up. However that isn't always the best for them, I never wore a foundation when I went to school, only in my last years of secondary school when you want to impress the boys ;)

Therefore I think that the best foundation routine for teens would be something with a lighter coverage as it wouldn't be over powering and wouldn't worsen spots if they have them! I will recommend a few for you, ranging from more expensive to drug store brands.

1. Benefit Big Easy BB Cream- I know this is probably a bit expensive for some teens but it is really brilliant as it is a liquid to powder formula so you only have to buy one product. It is lightweight, easy to apply, gives amazing coverage for a BB cream and the shades change to your skin tone which is always a bonus as you know it will match!

2. Rimmel Stay Matte BB Cream- this is essential the same as the Benefit product but cheaper. The matte finish allows you to get away with using a powder so you can save money and it keeps your face from being shiny all day!

3. 17 Blemish BB Balm- this is a lighter coverage base with skin care properties built in to the product. The ingredients inside are said to help reduce pores, prevent break outs and control oil! This is perfect for teenagers as they are trying to keep all of these aspects in control and this product does all that and covers any visible imperfections!

I never used to fill in my eyebrows because they have always been on the bushy side so throughout my teens years this was never a problem for me, however now I see how much a difference it makes to your face that I fill them in everyday! I have only every used one product to do my eyebrows but I have experimented with others so I will try and give you some options!

1. Natural Collection Eye-shadow (Crushed Walnut)- this is the option that I use, I just buy a eye shadow in a shade that match my eye brows and then get a small angled brush and fill in the sparse areas. This is so simple and easy to do that if you don't usually fill in your brows then this is the perfect place to start!

2. Benefit Gimme Brow- This is again more on the higher end but if you just want to shape your eye brows, give them a hint of colour and make them last for a long time then this is the product for you!

3. Any brow pencil- loads of my friends use brow pencils to fill in the eyebrows, they give you that precision that you wouldn't have with any other product but I can't use one, I find you can see which areas you have filled in too much!

Overall I think the best foundation routine for teens would be a simple, light coverage foundation or BB cream that not only covers imperfection but helps them as well! Then my best brow routine for teens would be the eye-shadow as it is incredibly simple and easy to do and you can buy an eye-shadow for £1 which is perfect for everyone's budget!

I hope you enjoyed this post and that some of the options may help you, if you use or are planning on using any of these products then let me know in the comments!
