#CountdownToChristmas Week 4 | Christmas Day Outfit & Make-Up!

Hello Lovelies. Welcome back to Beautiful You!

Now this is a topic that not everyone agrees on, some people love to get really dressed up on Christmas Day and some just like to stay in their PJs. For my family and I we stay in our PJs for the morning, whilst we are eating breakfast and opening presents but we will then get really dressed up for the rest of Christmas. This year I have bought my outfit in advance so I will share that with you and then I shall share how I am going to do my make-up too!

1. Velvet Swing Dress- I saw Zoella talk about this dress in a boohoo haul a while ago and I fell in love with it. I had decided to wait until they had some money off and I got it £10 which I think is a bargain and it looks so lovely on! I love the fact that it has long sleeves as it has turned colder now and it is nice not to have to wear another layer with the dress. I am also a massive fan of the colour, I wear this so much in the winter and I definitely had to wear it on Christmas Day!

2. Bow Belt- with swing dresses they can sometimes be really unflattering as they don't have any shape so for those who need to define their waist this can be done by adding a belt. I think this one with the gold bow detailing is perfect because it just adds that something extra.

3. Plum Statement Necklace- if you know me then you will know I cannot pass up a statement necklace. This isn't the exact one I'm wearing but it is simply, this is the perfect way to take a plain dress and make it classy. This is the best way to make an outfit more formal and add a bit of sparkle.

4. Tights- obviously it is cold outside and I can't wear a dress by itself therefore I am going to wear some extra cosy tights from Primark. These are brilliant for the winter as they have a fleecy layer inside to keep you really warm!

6. Frilly Socks- I have been loving the frilly socks trend at the moment and I think that if you put these under a pair of boots they add something else to an outfit. You can get them from everywhere at the moment but I buy mine mostly from Topshop.

7. Watch & Rings- I wear these on an everyday basis so I am clearly going to wear them on Christmas Day. I bought my Marc Jacobs watch whilst I was in New York City and it was a present to myself as I wanted something to remember it by. Then both my Pandora rings were presents from family members for either birthdays or Christmas!

8. Bowler Hat- everyone has always said to me at some point in my life that hats always suit me and I have been loving the recent hat trends. This one is a bowler hat and I think this would just top off the outfit and give it a degree of edge!

9. Heeled Boots- I have worn my pair of these so much over the winter period because they are so comfortable and easy to pair with any outfit. I think they would be perfect to go with this one because wearing heels always looks better with a dress and again it gives the outfit more of an edgy vibe!

So that is what I am planning to wear on Christmas Day and to match this I am going to be wearing a silver eyes and plum lip combination. I recently uploaded a tutorial on this which I shall link in this post so if you want to copy that then you are more than welcome.

So there you have it, this is what I plan on wearing on Christmas Day. What are your families traditions, do you dress up or stay in your PJs? If you dress up then let me know in the comments below if you have any outfit ideas for this year! I hope you all had a lovely weekend and that you are all excited for Christmas!
