Review | The Body Shop's Ginger Shampoo!

Hello Lovelies. Welcome back to Beautiful You!

I have wanted to publish this for so long but then I started thinking about it and thought that some people might not want to read it. However I decided to go for it because there could be someone else out there that has the same problem as me who I could help.

Recently I have been really struggling with dry, flaky scalp and I couldn't find anything to treat it for such a long time. I had tried literally every product that you could buy from Boots and Asda and none of them had worked, therefore when I heard about this product I didn't have high hopes. I thought that it would just be like all the rest, however, after trying it I was pleasantly surprised. So if you have the same problem as me I thought I would share it with you and maybe change your perspective on anti-dandruff shampoos too!

As you can see, the product I am talking about is The Body Shop's Ginger Shampoo. And I will do the review in my normal category style and give you my honest opinion on each one, it does have some drawbacks but overall I do love this product.

I know what your all thinking, ginger on my hair? Honestly, don't be put off by the ginger because that's what I was like at first and I am so glad I saw past it. The smell for me was the hardest part to get over as I am really not a lover of ginger but you get used to it after a while considering the benefits your hair gets from it. It is a clear liquid and you really don't need to apply much as it creates a good lather with a small palm full. You only have to apply and rinse once and then condition with your normal one, the only advice I would give with conditioning would be to only apply it to the ends of your hair.  In terms of how long it takes to see an affect, I would say that you can see a change over night but with continuous use the changes do come about, I have been using it for about two months now and I never really notice any flakes in my hair anymore. And lastly, as usual with all Body Shop products this hasn't been test on animals.

It comes in a simple dark plastic bottle with a flip lid top so that you can really easily control how much comes out. The major perk of the packaging for me is that it comes in two sizes, 250ml and 400ml, which I think is amazing. Firstly because I like to take smaller bottles away with me when I travel because it takes up less space and its lighter. Then secondly because if you don't know whether or not you are going to like using the product why do you want to go and buy a full sized bottle straightaway. Therefore having the small option gives those first timers a chance to test it and see whether they like it before buying the larger 400ml bottle.

As I said above there are two different sizes that you can get and I think the are both priced perfectly and knowing The Body Shop they will more often than not have a promotion on. The smaller bottle of the two, 250ml, is £4.50 and the larger of the two, 400ml, is £6.50. When you consider how much you pay for other brands of anti-dandruff shampoo this seems incredibly cheap in comparison.

I really hope that this review does help at least one person out because this shampoo is a life changing product for me. Also The Body Shop have a loyalty card which you can purchase for a one off payment of £5 and you get 10% off each time you shop in a store which might also be handy for some of you if you are The Body Shop lovers like me.

Lastly before I go I would just like to say a massive thank you to all of you for staying with my blog even though there hasn't been many posts which I am incredibly sorry about. I am down to my last assignment for the year and I am excited to actually have time to dedicate to my blog and now having an iMac makes this even easier. Also somehow I seem to have gained 20 followers since not posting so hello to any newbies, welcome to Beautiful You and I shall see you all soon I promise!
