J'adore Paris Day 4 | Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge & Jardin du Luxembourg!

Hello Lovelies. Welcome back to Beautiful You!

As this was officially our last day in the city we wanted to try and fit in the rest of the places that we wanted to see. On the open top bus tour there was a separate route of Montmartre that you could take where the bus goes around the north east side of Paris. This was where we wanted to go so we decided to take the bus to so we could see the Moulin Rouge and the Sacre Coeur!

First we got off the bus to walk to the Sacre Coeur, if you aren't a lover of stairs or physical exercise then going to the top might not be for you. After several hundred of stairs we arrived at the top of the hill where the church is, the view from up there was literally breathtaking. As I said previously I am not a massive fan of going inside churches and  I was tired from the walk up there so I just decided to wait for everyone outside.

After they look around we walked back down the hill to try and find somewhere to get some lunch, the whole trip my sister really wanted Moules and frites so this was what we were trying to find. Of course we found a little restaurant on the corner, selling moules and other things that everyone else liked so we decided to take a rest there.

We hopped back on the bus after lunch and just stayed on there the rest of the way around as there wasn't anything particular that we wanted to see but we saw sights like the Moulin Rouge, a French Food Market and Gare du Nord whilst we were on the tour.

We got off the bus again at the Notre Dame because someone had told us about a book shop that is near there and me being a lover of books we had to go. I am so glad we did because it was one of the best bookshops I have ever been to. They had such a wide variety of books, from the classics to new releases and some typically Parisian novels! I did buy two books, Us by David Nicholls and a Parisian novel that is in English, I am yet to read either of them but I will let you know if I liked them when I do.

I had been looking in loads of guide books to see different places that we could go and I came across the Jardin du Luxembourg, literally it is the most beautiful place I have ever been. It was a massive garden area with huge trees, fountains and benches for people to relax in, it was the perfect place to go, take a seat to read a good book and get lost in it all day!

By this time it was getting late and we had a river cruise booked for the evening. We had talked about doing this all holiday because my step-dad had done it before and he enjoyed it so thought that we would too. I was actually really excited for this evening but that slowly went downhill when I discovered that I cannot eat food whilst being on something moving, it's safe to say I won't be doing that again!

Regardless of the fact that I was ill it was such a lovely evening once we were back on solid ground. After the cruise it was around 11pm so we just wandered back to our hotel and had an earlyish night because we needed to be up early to catch our flight home!

I really hope that you have enjoyed seeing what I got up to whilst I was in Paris, if you have ever been let me know below what your favourite places to go are! I am going to be writing a post on the beauty bits I bought whilst I was away so that should be coming this weekend.

I hope you all have had a good week and have a lovely weekend!
